Teflon features many unique and useful characteristics. If your temperature requirements range up to 260°C (500°F) Teflon is a superior choice. As an insulating material it is excellent and has the benefit of resisting melt-off by soldering irons when making terminations. It is resistant to virtually all corrosive chemicals. Its dielectric properties favor it for electronic and electrical service.
